Formula 1 United States Grand Prix 2025

Every inhabited continent has a Grand Prix, and North America is no exception. While other forms of motorsport may be larger in name and fan numbers in the country, Formula 1 is winning the hearts of American fans. This can hardly be avoided, given the show that is put on every year by the organizers and the drivers.
Elevation changes, long straights, and fast corners: the Circuit of the Americas has it all. Due to its placement toward the end of the season, there’s a chance each year that the battle for the title will be decided on this technical track. Designer Hermann Tilke gave a helping hand in the circuit's creation.

GP USA 2024 results

In the last few rounds of the 2024 F1 season, Norris came charging in to keep his title chances alive. At Cota the Ferraris were absolutely on fire, they dominated the race and secured a one-two finish. The fight for P3 was a thrilling battle between championship leader Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. It resulted in an off-track overtake by the McLaren driver, who would be penalised for his actions. Verstappen inherited P3, Charles Leclerc was the winner with Carlos Sainz in second place.

Lewis Hamilton at the USA GP

This special track is also dear to Lewis Hamilton, who is the best performing driver ever at the Circuit of the Americas. With 9 podiums including 5 wins he has created a remarkable record in the USA. The first race at the venue in 2012, saw Hamilton beat Vettel after an exciting weekend. The German had secured pole by a tiny margin on Saturday, but was no match for the pace of the Brit on Sunday. 2015 was another memorable win for the seven-time world champion, as he pitted under a Safety Car whilst teammate Nico Rosberg seemed to be on for a race win. The German had already pitted, and though he was ahead at the restart, Hamilton passed him on the fresh rubber. In the cooldown room, Rosberg famously threw his P2 cap at Hamilton after the race.
