Red Bull team, but this seems to have cooled significantly by 2025. The father of four-time world champion
Max Verstappen has repeatedly expressed criticism of the situation within Red Bull over the past year and even called for team principal Horner's departure.
Last month, he spoke with De Limburger about his relationship with Red Bull and Horner. He stated that he wouldn't want to go on vacation with Horner, but that there's mutual respect between the parties and that's what's important.
Horner Responds to Jos Verstappen's Comments
The team principal has now been confronted with Jos's statements and has responded in no uncertain terms.
"I think it's always important to look forward together," Horner said in an interview with De Telegraaf. "Jos is right. I have enormous respect for everything he has done for Max."
"And we must not forget that we have to do this together," continued the Red Bull team principal. "This is one of the most competitive sports in the world. We only manage to challenge McLaren if we work together as a team."
